Travelling from Malaga Airport
EAST:
Driving around the coast couldn't be simpler, maybe your heading East along the A7 towards Nerja, which after leaving Malaga Airport, take the second exit at the roundabout and take the left lane sign-posted Malaga. The road will go up over the bridge round to the right, join onto the main highway (N-340). If you want to head out to the East, towards Nerja, you need to follow the sign for Motril, where you will join onto the A7. The road will take you high up out of Malaga, where you will see great views over the city and 'La Rosaleda', which for football enthusiasts is the home ground of Malaga Club de Futbol (Malaga Football Club). Continue along this road and you will start seeing signs for Nerja, Torrox and the other smaller towns.

WEST:
If your looking at travelling west, you may decide to take the N-340 which is the main coastal road passing through Torremolinos and Benalmadena, continuing through until the edge of Fuengirola. If you don't wish to take the coastal route, you could join onto the A7 which is the 'Coastal Highway'. The A7 runs along the entire southern coast of Spain. Along the western side, the A7 also splits into the AP-7 which is the local toll road, which is ideal for taking if you want to get somewhere quicker as the AP-7 generally has a lot less traffic than the A7 or N-340.
