Corpus Christi
The Thursday following the 8th Sunday after Easter Sunday brings the catholic festival of 'Corpus Christi'. Celebrated in many of the towns in Spain, it is processional festival honouring the Eucharist with an aim of promoting faith in the Catholic Church and also in Jesus.
In Malaga, the main streets were decorated with about 20 temporary chapels, each of the chapels contained a statue of a saint and were decorated with silver vases.
